The Thailand viola society has offered to host the world premiere performance of the Marco Anzoletti Viola Concerto No. 1 with Marco Misciagna as the soloist for the 48th International Viola Congress!  The Congress will happen June 6-10 at Mahidol University in Salaya, Thailand.  The concert will take place on June 9, 2023 at 1:30 at Mahidol University.

The Anzoletti Viola Concerto No. 1 written in 1900, but only finished by Anzoletti as a viola solo with piano reduction (no orchestration).  Kenneth Martinson orchestrated and published the concerto with Gems Music Publications in 2019, and 123 years after it was written, it will have its long awaited world premiere.  The work is scored for 2 flutes (1 with piccolo), 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons (one with contrabassoon), 2 trumpets, 2 horns in F, trombone, tuba, timpani, celeste, and strings.
