Friday, June 3rd 9:15 to 10:15am at the Schwob School of Music, Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, USA.  This lecture will explore and introduce the largely unknown viola repertoire of Marco Anzoletti. The lecture will begin with biographical information, then discuss the history and Italian lineage of Marco Anzoletti and the other Italian composers who taught at Milan Conservatory. Several sound samples (Finale Playback audio/video) of his music will be presented, and the presentation will end with a discussion and analysis of the orchestration of the Anzoletti Viola Concerto No. 1 completed by myself.
